Begin met een realistische planning
Veel stress ontstaat al vóór vertrek. Te veel kilometers per dag, te weinig rustmomenten en te hoge verwachtingen.
Probeer je reisdagen niet voller te proppen dan nodig. Vier tot zes uur rijden per dag is voor de meeste mensen meer dan genoeg. Zo hou je tijd over om onderweg te stoppen, iets te eten, een wandeling te maken of gewoon even niets te doen.
Plan je grote lijnen, maar laat ruimte voor spontaniteit. Soms is het net die onverwachte afslag die je bij het mooiste uitzicht brengt.
Comfort is belangrijker dan snelheid
Op lange ritten merk je snel wat echt telt: een goede zithouding, weinig rijgeluid en een stabiel gevoel op de weg. Niet hoe snel je gaat, maar hoe ontspannen je aankomt.
Daarom kiezen sommige reizigers bewust voor een tweedehands Audi. Niet om indruk te maken, maar omdat die bekendstaan om hun rustige rijervaring en degelijke afwerking. Zeker op lange snelwegtrajecten kan dat het verschil maken tussen uitgeput aankomen of fris uitstappen.
Elektrisch reizen

Het klinkt als de ultieme droom: een eigen stekkie voor weekends en vakanties, zonder telkens iets te huren of in een druk hotel te zitten. Maar voordat je die stap zet, is het slim om eerst goed na te denken.
Waarom een eigen boot of vakantiehuis aantrekkelijk is
Een eigen boot of vakantiehuis heeft veel aantrekkingskracht: het is jouw eigen plek om tot rust te komen, weg van dagelijkse beslommeringen. Je bepaalt zelf wanneer je gaat, met wie, en hoe lang je blijft. Voor veel reizigers voelt het als een rustpunt.
Tegelijkertijd is bezit geen vanzelfsprekendheid: het brengt verplichtingen en kosten mee die je niet moet onderschatten. Een vakantiehuis of boot is geen hotel of huurwoning. Reizen staat voor vrijheid. Geen vaste routine, geen agenda, alleen jij en de weg die zich ontvouwt. Toch weet elke reiziger dat echte vrijheid niet ontstaat uit chaos, maar uit overzicht. Wanneer je weet waar je bent, wat je nodig hebt en hoe je keuzes maakt, wordt reizen pas echt zorgeloos. [message] => Het is alweer even geleden dat we een berichtje geplaatst hebben maar hier zijn we dan weer. We hebben ook nieuwe foto's bij dit bericht geplaatst en twee nieuwe filmpjes. Morgen zit ons bezoek aan Saipan er helaas al weer op voor deze keer.
We hebben het heerlijk gehad. Heerlijk uitgerust maar ook nog best wat dingen gedaan. We zijn een aantal keer naar Microbeach geweest (echt mooi zandstrand met helder warm water) waar we een grote rog hebben zien zwemmen. Echt super dat die zo dicht bij het strand kwam! We zijn twee keer naar Managaha (klein eilandje) geweest (ook mooi zandstrand en superhelder water haha eigenlijk bijna overal in Saipan) waar je prachtig kunt snorkelen en waar we tijdens het snorkelen zelfs kleine haaitjes (ahhhh) hebben zien zwemmen. Ook hebben we de onderwaterwereld bekeken met de submarine (een duikboot), dat was ook een leuke ervaring! We hebben veel vissen gezien en het wrak waar Bas wel eens gedoken heeft. Verder zijn we naar PIC (Pacific Island Club, daar hebben ze een soort waterpark) geweest. Waar we op een vlot op ligbedjes op het water hebben gelegen en waar Bas op de golfmachine (tja hoe moeten we het anders noemen) geboard heeft. Ook hebben we 'Bird Island', 'The Grotto', 'Banzai Cliff', 'Suieside Cliff', 'Forbidden Island' en het beste trail (pad door de jungle) van Micronesie bezocht. En natuurlijk hebben we veel tijd met de familie doorgebracht, gezellig eten en drinken, film kijken, spelen met Evert, Jasper en Vladimir en zijn we wezen stappen met Thijs en Amir. Al met al dus veel leuke dingen gedaan. We zullen wel weer moeten wennen aan het steeds weer pakken van onze backpack's. En ook het relaxed liggen zonnen aan het zwembad of strand zullen we gaan missen. Maar van de andere kant gaan we weer een hoop dingen zien en dat is natuurlijk super! Dus morgen vertrekken we weer vrolijk naar Manila, waar we weer een nachtje blijven slapen (nu hebben we een hotel geboekt in de buurt van het vliegveld haha) en vervolgens vliegen we naar Hong Kong om daar nog 3 dagen dingen te gaan bekijken. En daarna.........vliegen we verder naar Australie!

[message] => Eergisteren zijn we na een lange reis aangekomen in Saipan. We hadden van te voren al niet veel goeds gelezen over het vliegveld in Manila en helaas bleek dat voor een groot deel waar. We moesten in Manila bijna 12 uur wachten en konden dat in eerste instantie nergens anders doen dan op een paar ijzeren stoeltjes. Daar hadden we dus niet veel zin in. Na 1,5 uur zoeken en vragen (wanneer je aan iemand iets vraagt op het vliegveld willen ze altijd je paspoort en ticket zien dus hebben we die wel honderdduizend keer laten zien) konden we dan uiteindelijk ergens een dayroom huren en gaan slapen. De mensen op het vliegveld waren allemaal erg aardig en wilde erg graag helpen alleen lukte dat ze niet echt goed. Maar goed we zijn inmiddels in Saipan. We werden opgehaald door Thijs, Amir (een vriend van Thijs), Evert en Jasper (neefjes van Bas). 's-avonds hebben we pizza gegeten en een film gekeken en de volgende dag lekker gerelaxed! En vandaag hadden we dan eindelijk tijd (en de mogelijkheid) om wat foto's op onze site te zetten en zelfs 2 filmpjes! In het eerste filpje zie je een panda uit het pandacentrum in Chengdu en in het tweede filmpje zie je de omgeving tijdens onze fietstocht in Yangshuo. Nou veel kijkplezier...wij gaan nu eerst even genieten van de zon want het is net gestopt met regenen.

We zijn twee keer naar Managaha (klein eilandje) geweest (ook mooi zandstrand en superhelder water haha eigenlijk bijna overal in Saipan) waar je prachtig kunt snorkelen en waar we tijdens het snorkelen zelfs kleine haaitjes (ahhhh) hebben zien zwemmen. Ook hebben we de onderwaterwereld bekeken met de submarine (een duikboot), dat was ook een leuke ervaring! We hebben veel vissen gezien en het wrak waar Bas wel eens gedoken heeft. Verder zijn we naar PIC (Pacific Island Club, daar hebben ze een soort waterpark) geweest. Waar we op een vlot op ligbedjes op het water hebben gelegen en waar Bas op de golfmachine (tja hoe moeten we het anders noemen) geboard heeft. Ook hebben we 'Bird Island', 'The Grotto', 'Banzai Cliff', 'Suieside Cliff', 'Forbidden Island' en het beste trail (pad door de jungle) van Micronesie bezocht. En natuurlijk hebben we veel tijd met de familie doorgebracht, gezellig eten en drinken, film kijken, spelen met Evert, Jasper en Vladimir en zijn we wezen stappen met Thijs en Amir. Al met al dus veel leuke dingen gedaan. We zullen wel weer moeten wennen aan het steeds weer pakken van onze backpack's. En ook het relaxed liggen zonnen aan het zwembad of strand zullen we gaan missen. Maar van de andere kant gaan we weer een hoop dingen zien en dat is natuurlijk super! Dus morgen vertrekken we weer vrolijk naar Manila, waar we weer een nachtje blijven slapen (nu hebben we een hotel geboekt in de buurt van het vliegveld haha) en vervolgens vliegen we naar Hong Kong om daar nog 3 dagen dingen te gaan bekijken. En daarna.........vliegen we verder naar Australie!

[message] => Eergisteren zijn we na een lange reis aangekomen in Saipan. We hadden van te voren al niet veel goeds gelezen over het vliegveld in Manila en helaas bleek dat voor een groot deel waar. We moesten in Manila bijna 12 uur wachten en konden dat in eerste instantie nergens anders doen dan op een paar ijzeren stoeltjes. Daar hadden we dus niet veel zin in. Na 1,5 uur zoeken en vragen (wanneer je aan iemand iets vraagt op het vliegveld willen ze altijd je paspoort en ticket zien dus hebben we die wel honderdduizend keer laten zien) konden we dan uiteindelijk ergens een dayroom huren en gaan slapen. De mensen op het vliegveld waren allemaal erg aardig en wilde erg graag helpen alleen lukte dat ze niet echt goed. Maar goed we zijn inmiddels in Saipan. We werden opgehaald door Thijs, Amir (een vriend van Thijs), Evert en Jasper (neefjes van Bas). 's-avonds hebben we pizza gegeten en een film gekeken en de volgende dag lekker gerelaxed! En vandaag hadden we dan eindelijk tijd (en de mogelijkheid) om wat foto's op onze site te zetten en zelfs 2 filmpjes! In het eerste filpje zie je een panda uit het pandacentrum in Chengdu en in het tweede filmpje zie je de omgeving tijdens onze fietstocht in Yangshuo. Nou veel kijkplezier...wij gaan nu eerst even genieten van de zon want het is net gestopt met regenen.

eerst drie dagen op zee voor dat we daar aankomen maar ik zie er echt naar uit,, ben de hele dag vrij in okinawa en heb een japanse collega die ook de hele dag vrij is dus hoop dat het erg leuk gaat worden..
het weer is ietsje beter nog wel af en toe regen maar waarschijnlijk komt dat omdat we drie tropische stormen achter ons hebben gelaten dus hebben een beetje de naweeen ervan
nou tot gauw en blijf schrijven he mensen!!!

[message] => Het is alweer even geleden dat we een berichtje geplaatst hebben maar hier zijn we dan weer. We hebben ook nieuwe foto's bij dit bericht geplaatst en twee nieuwe filmpjes. Morgen zit ons bezoek aan Saipan er helaas al weer op voor deze keer.
We hebben het heerlijk gehad. Heerlijk uitgerust maar ook nog best wat dingen gedaan. We zijn een aantal keer naar Microbeach geweest (echt mooi zandstrand met helder warm water) waar we een grote rog hebben zien zwemmen. Echt super dat die zo dicht bij het strand kwam!
